    May 30–June 8, 2025. The gods demand a sacrifice. To avoid destruction, a village must surrender its most beautiful virgin to the god Neptune. The shepherd Tityrus, fearing for his daughter Galatea’s life, disguises her as a boy and sends her into the woods. But Tityrus isn’t the only villager to form this plan to hide his daughter from the gods: Melibeus sends his daughter Phillida to the woods as well, dressed as a boy. In men’s clothing, Galatea and Phillida meet—and fall in love.
